The Metro Chamber recently celebrated the diversity, creativity and ingenuity of the local business community through the Business Excellence Awards held in November. The award committee, comprised of several business and community leaders named 25 outstanding businesses that included Rachel’s Kitchen. The Fresh Casual Eatery was named a Trendsetter, recognized for being a business paving the way for new technology, community stewardship ad corporate responsibility.

Rachel’s Kitchen founder Debbie Roxarzade, 44, was already a restaurateur before moving to Las Vegas, having opened up seven stores in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.

In 2006, Debbie Sofer-Roxarzade moved to Las Vegas and opened Rachel’s Kitchen, named after her daughter Rachel.

Debbie Roxarzade has big plans for Rachel’s Kitchen by expanding to Arizona, California and elsewhere in the region.

Getting the franchise paperwork together while operating a business was a two-year process. She hired an attorney to handle the legal aspects, but a lot of the legwork fell to her.
